Oracle of Consciousness

#162 - Spirit, Look
for it Everywhere

Spirit: the non-physical or supernatural part of a person regarded as their true self and is capable of surviving death or separation.

Spirit, that which animates these physical bodies of ours, goes by many, many labels, spirit, soul, life force, consciousness and whenever we put a label on it, it's not that, it's merely a label, a signpost to What Is.

But for the purpose of this exercise, let's call it Spirit.

Spirit is everywhere, in everything and everybody.

So beyond animating this body, it is within the trees, the rocks, the sky, it is the essence that runs through everything.

Our indigenous brothers and sisters knew this well and practiced it.

Animism: The belief in a supernatural power that organizes and animates the material universe.

Here is the kicker, when we consciously look for Spirit, just like TV and radio signals, it cannot be seen.

But can be felt.

If we take the time to seek it in everything, then we will sense a feeling of connection.

What we do see physically, is the outer manifestation of spirit in everything and everyone.

It is the triune, the common denominator, which resides outwardly and within.

And that connection is the remedy for separateness.

Look for Spirit in everything, our ancestors, and wise sages would always advise and guide people about the spirit of the wind, the spirit of the trees, in the rocks, water, mountains, in fact in everything!.

This astute advice still stands today, it is ancient wisdom and is being carried forward to modern day as authentic spirituality.

Spirit resides not only in living, breathing, worldly entities, but in inanimate objects too, as suggested by Quantum Theory.

One of the things that we can do is to look at the Spirit behind words.

When we read a book, an article, or any writing, look for the Spirit, and the intention of the Spirit underlying these words?

This is an opportunity explore the core, the essence of what the message and messenger is proposing.

When viewing a painting, gaze deeply into it and beyond the surface and see if you can connect in any way, shape or form with the artist?

What do you sense about the artist?

What was she or he expressing through their creativity?

Was the artist expressing what was going on in his or her inner world?

Pain?

Joy?

Love?

What did you feel?

Look for the Spirit that resides in all matter, energy, space and time, you may not see it, but you certainly can feel it.

Matter

Energy

Space

Time

Why can you feel it and its seems familiar?

Because it is who you are at the core!

We are not separate from this essence.

We are not separate from anything or anyone.

As Einstein says,

"Energy cannot be created or destroyed."

There's another label that we can put onto Spirit, it is immortal.

You see, as Spirit we last an immeasurably long time, not just a small snippet of time in these physical bodies, but through an infinite adventure in the extraordinary Spirit world.

"The spiritual life does not remove us from the world, but leads us deeper into it."
